Axel Arriaga Padron

Axel is a Postbaccalaureate Researcher in the HRI Coral Reef and Ocean Health Lab. He earned his bachelor's degree in marine biology from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley. During his undergraduate studies, he conducted research with the Easton Benthic Ecology Lab on epibenthic megafauna associated with hard-bottom habitats. His current work involves assisting with research on alkalinity thresholds in Hawaiian corals, with plans to transition into a Research Technician position. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music and spending time with family and friends.
