DR. EUGENIO GONZALEZ-JIMENEZ
DIRECTOR, TAMU SOLTIS CENTER FOR RESEARCH AND EDUCATION IN COSTA RICA

Dr. Eugenio González Jiménez, Director of the Soltis Center, will provide an overview of this biological field station located in the Central Volcanic Range of Costa Rica and part of the well-known Monteverde Cloud Forests.  The field station, owned by the Texas A&M University system, hosts both student academic and non-academic groups and researchers who use permanent/semi-permanent research equipment focused on biodiversity, sustainability, hydrology, and other studies. 


Dr. Eugenio González Jiménez is the Director of the Soltis Center for Research and Education in Costa Rica (TAMU).  His responsibilities include overseeing administrative functions of the Center, facilitating academic programs for students, supporting researchers, and developing and supervising the Center’s outreach efforts within the local community and throughout Costa Rica.
